Although from my research on the classic Disney film, The Lion King, may have you believing that the film is full of Christian messages and meanings, Biblical References and more, some people argue that Christianity is not the only religion present in the film.

Mark Pinsky, the author of the book, The Gospel According to Disney, discusses how he believes that the "Circle of Life" scene and song are not Christian but rather Hindu. He feels as though because the film fails to discuss or show any form of resurrection, that it is not Christian. He says that if the film, and the "Circle of Life" was based on Christianity, than the film is missing one major part.

Another aspect of the film that some believe shows its relation with Hinduism, is when Rafiki shows Simba his fathers reflection. Some people see this as a form of reincarnation, which is associated with the Hindu religion.
